Using oil pastels, students created shapes by using dots of color within the shape. Drawing the dots instead of tapping the dots was important. We looked at works of art by pointillistic artists like George Seurat and Alfred Sisley. For artists towards the end of the 19th century, it was a new way of creating color through the use of dots.
